land

I recognize that I reside on the traditional land of the Anishnabeg, the Huron-Wendat, the Chippewa, the Seneca, and the Mississaugas of the Credit. I am grateful for the opportunity to build my practice here in Tkaronto/Toronto and learn from (and support) the members of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis communities.

As someone from the West Indies, I also acknowledge the Indigenous peoples of the Caribbean and their relationships with the lands and waters. I hold gratitude for the Taíno, the Kalinago, the Ciguayo and Macorix, and the Guanahatabey. I recognize the histories of the Arawak and Carib peoples. Their legacies and lives persist.
